FBI Raids Biden Beach House: Breaking News

This action is part of the investigations into a possible mishandling of classified documents.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI, for its acronym in English), raided the summer home of the President of the United States, Joe Biden, located in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, as part of its investigation into the possible mishandling of classified documents, reported the president’s personal lawyer.

“Today, with the full support and cooperation of the President (Joe Biden), the Department of Justice is conducting a planned search of his home in Rehoboth, Delaware,” Bob Bauer explained.

“Today’s search is one more step in a thorough and timely Department of Justice process that we will continue to fully support and facilitate,” Bauer added.

13-Hour Top-Down Search

The home search follows a 13-hour top-down search of his Wilmington home on Jan. 20, when agents found additional documents with classified markings and also took possession of some of his handwritten notes.

In addition, the FBI searched the Washington office of the Penn Biden Center in mid-November, after the president’s lawyers first discovered classified material in a locked cabinet at the think tank.

Notably, the search occurs on the day the Justice Department announced that Special Counsel Robert Hur officially began his job overseeing the investigation into Biden’s handling of classified documents.

Ultimately, Hur replaces US Attorney John Lausch, who conducted an initial review that has since evolved into a full-blown criminal investigation.
