Jason Seaman, the hero teacher who stopped a school shooter at Noblesville West Middle School in Indiana, spoke on Monday for the first time since the incident.
Seaman disarmed and tackled a gunman who burst into his seventh grade classroom and opened fire on Friday. (RELATED: Teacher Heroically Confronted School Shooter)
Both Seaman and a female student were shot during the incident.

“First off, as a person who isnt looking for attention, nor entirely comfortable with the situation Im in, I want to make it clear that my actions on that day, in my mind, were the only acceptable actions I could have done given the circumstances,” Seaman said during a Monday press conference.
“I deeply care for my students and their well-being so that is why I did what I did that day,” he added.
An online fundraiser for Seaman has already reached over $60,000.
